The Meadows Museum of Art brings the priceless treasure of Spanish art to the city of Dallas. In March, 2001, the Meadows Museum, a magnificent building of 66000 square feet, opened on the campus of Southern Methodist University.

It is the largest collection of Spanish work displayed outside its own country. The history of Spanish art unfolds its manifold beauty in the museum.

It is an art connoisseurs delight as masterpieces of great artists such as El Greco, Velázquez, Ribera, Murillo, Goya, Miró, and Picasso graces the galleries of the museum.

It has a stunning collection of Renaissance altarpieces, monumental Baroque canvases, exquisite rococo oil sketches, polychrome wood sculptures, Impressionist landscapes and modernist abstractions.
