Cathedral Santuario de Guadalupe

Located in the Arts District of downtown Dallas, the Cathedral Shrine of the Virgin of Guadalupe Shrine symbolizes the ecclesial spirit of Dallas.

Built by an anonymous architect way back in 1898, this church takes you back into the past and is today considered a historic landmark.

It is the premier church of Dallas. This magnificent church was built by locally produced bricks. The building itself holds you spell bound.

This church has served as the base for Dallas' Roman Catholic Bishop since its completion in 1902. The Cathedral is the mother church of the 630,000 Roman Catholics in the nine- county Diocese of Dallas. Today, the Cathedral serves the largest cathedral congregation in the United States - - as well as the largest Latino parish congregation - - with more than 50,000 registered households.

You can feel the grace of God within its hallowed precinct. This great church overcomes distinctions of cast and creed and embraces entire mankind in its fold.
