McKinney Avenue Trolley

MicKinney Avenue Trolley is a relic from the past. It recreates the magic of the trolley car which was once widely used.

Its history can be traced back to 1983, when workers discovered the original trolley tracks under layers of asphalt and concrete. Today five authentic streetcars use those restored lines, preserving a piece of Dallas history.

Run by the McKinney Avenue Transit Authority (MATA), a private, nonprofit agency operating under a City of Dallas franchise, the historical trolley system serves actual urban travel needs.

You can see them sliding along on overhead wires giving you a bird's eye view of the city underneath.

These vintage quaint trolleys from history provide you a safe and reliable method of transportation.

Hours : Weekdays: 7 am to 10 PM
Weekends: 10 am to 10 PM
